Great-grandson of the Baal Shem Tov and a luminous Hasidic master. He taught that joy is a spiritual duty, despair is never final, and every person can begin anew. His path centered on hitbodedut—personal prayer in one’s own words—and on finding God in every moment, even in brokenness. Through his parables and songs he gave hope to all who seek light.
