The Old Woods Tarot is an 80-card divination deck that explores ancient woodland wisdom through animal archetypes and forest ecology. It features 78 numbered tarot cards alongside two informational cards detailing card meanings and usage.
Each card is illustrated in the style of vintage natural history engravings, rendered with intricate ink linework, stippling, and hatching. Soft, muted watercolor and gouache textures emerge from deep dark backgrounds to evoke a contemplative mood.
Recurring motifs include canids, raptors, cervids, and nocturnal insects framed by oak leaves, mushrooms, brambles, and fiddlehead ferns. These rustic elements reflect cyclical natural patterns, grounding traditional tarot archetypes in the quiet serenity of the forest.
Readers can uncover gentle guidance, instinctual truth, and balanced perspective through the reverent spirit of the wild. This deck is an enchanting companion for tarot and oracle readers, nature-focused spiritual practitioners, and botanical art enthusiasts.
