The Tarot of New Orleans reimagines the traditional twenty-two Major Arcana through the evocative atmosphere and landscapes of Louisiana. Each card illustrates a distinct narrative scene, bringing classic meanings alive against French Quarter iron balconies, streetcars, brass bands, and moonlit courtyards.
Rendered in a dramatic 1950s romance and adventure comic style, the visual design features expressive faces, bold chiaroscuro shadow shapes, and authentic Ben-Day halftone dots. Faded scarlet, muted petrol teal, and mustard yellow newsprint tones create an unmistakable vintage noir aesthetic.
This twenty-four card deck includes the complete Major Arcana alongside two unnumbered informational cards covering How to Use and About the Cards. Its storied imagery provides nuanced visual storytelling across foundational concepts from The Fool to The World.
Ideal for tarot and oracle readers, this collection offers a richly atmospheric perspective for personal readings, archetypal study, and intuitive card practice.
