The Tarot of Austin reimagines the traditional twenty-two Major Arcana through narrative scenes set across iconic Austin landscapes. Encounter archetypal journeys framed by live music stages, Barton Springs, Texas limestone, and the Congress Avenue bridge bats.
Illustrated in a dramatic 1950s romance and adventure comic noir style, every card features heavy brush contours, expressive period figures, and fine cross-hatching. Authentic Ben-Day halftone dots, dark chiaroscuro shadows, and faded newsprint tones of scarlet, mustard, and petrol teal evoke classic vintage print.
Each narrative scene directly reflects traditional Major Arcana meanings, offering deep intuitive insight for personal reflection. The twenty-four card collection features twenty-two numbered archetypes alongside two unnumbered information cards covering deck background and usage.
Tailored specifically for tarot and oracle readers, this deck brings a bold retro storytelling perspective to daily draws and spreads. It makes a distinctive addition to any reader seeking evocative narrative art steeped in classic comic style.
