The Orpheus and Eurydice Oracle is an opera-inspired oracle deck based on Christoph Willibald Gluck’s Orfeo ed Euridice. Its 22 numbered cards follow the dramatic story of love, loss and hope, accompanied by two information cards covering card meanings and reading practices.
European Art Nouveau opera-poster aesthetics bring the narrative to life through graceful contour lines, theatrical staging and vintage lithograph-inspired textures. Golden lyres, laurel wreaths, shadow gates, Elysian gardens and doves form a richly symbolic world.
Use the story’s pivotal moments as prompts to reflect on devotion, restraint, vulnerability and renewal. Draw a card for a quiet moment of contemplation, or explore how the opera’s characters and choices resonate with your own experience.
