Invocation to Tanit, ancient Phoenician Goddess of Ibiza and
after whom we named our first Deck of Cards: Ibiza Tarot,
The Oracle of Tanit.
“Dear Tanit, please bless us as we ask the cards for your
Oracle.
May our hearts be pure, our questions be honest and your
answers be true as we venture into this World of Magic and
Mystery.
May the cards we pick, help us on our journey through life
and fill us with faith, insight and heightened awareness.
May you continue to be respected and adored as you have
been for the many centuries you have protected our
beautiful island.

Introduction
Ibiza Tarot, The Oracle of Tanit came about through a
series of funny coincidences that left us without much
choice but to follow through with the mission of creating a
deck of cards with the purpose of sharing our love for Ibiza
and the magic we find here.
As we began, we found ourselves discovering wonderful
correspondences and space for including apparently random
elements. One of these was to spend time in wonderful
esoteric conversation with Zinnia...of Shakti Power!
The Goddess Cards came about as a natural progression on
the very Yin, Scorpio island of Ibiza.
We Started with the Traditional Tarot cards which are
divided into two groups, the Major Arcana made up of 22
Master cards and the Minor Arcana, made up of 10 normal
cards plus 4 Court Cards divided into four suits or Elements.
This makes a total of 78 Cards (22 + 40 + 16 = 78).
We then discovered that the ancient Phoenicians who were a
major influence on Ibiza had the first recognised alphabet
just after the Egyptian Hieroglyphics and prior to the
Hebrew, Arabic and Greek Alphabets. This alphabet is made
up of …22! consonants, all of which have specific meanings
and which we designated to the 22 Major Arcana.
We then added the Numerological and Astrological
correspondences and meanings connecting each card to
traditional, mythological or traditional Ibiza icons.
We decided to create 38 cards using the more significant and
powerful Major Arcana and Court Cards but found that the
Spirit of Ibiza was missing, we then added the ancient God
Bes, which made 39 cards, fitting in seamlessly with the
Bach flower remedies.
Each card is further powered by a touch of sacred geometry
for added beauty and magic.
We have kept this general format with the Goddess Cards to
make it easy for everyone and keep with the emotional
healing power of the Bach Flower Remedies.
Our intention is to make consultation of the Oracle easy, fun
and quick for anyone, regardless of whether they have
previous experience with Tarot or Oracle cards.
They make a perfect gift for learning about the history of the
many Goddesses of the World, their origins and legends as
well as insight into personal growth, Bach flower messages
as well as the more esoteric Tarot, Astrology and
Numerology lessons.
The names, their symbolic meaning and the order of the
cards follow the traditional Tarot card sequence, in a
simplified form. We have included what we consider the
most important cards.
The archetypical experiences of Life and the obstacles to
overcome, between Birth and Death are forever part of the
journey to greater consciousness for all Human Beings
beyond creed, race or culture throughout History and are
still valid today.
One of the purposes of Divination, of reading Tarot cards is
to become aware of what is brewing in the unconscious
mind, useful to redress negative thoughts before they
manifest on the physical plane or prepare us for an
upcoming development, by informing our intuitive mind.
The cards can just give you psychological insights and not
manifest as concrete events.
Sometimes the cards don’t seem to answer your questions
but point to other issues you should attend to or that will
shortly be coming up; for example you may ask about a
relationship, and the cards talk about your values or
resources or job rather than about your emotions, and make
you suddenly aware of these important issues you need to
deal with right now if you want this relationship to work.
The cards are a snapshot of our state right now and indicate
what will happen if we continue along this path, without
changing anything.
Once we gain awareness of underlying messages, we can be
proactive to change things in our life, modifying our future
and what the card reading has foretold.
It is very important to remember that we are the co-creators
of our life along with our underlying destiny energy. The
true power we possess is how we react to what life presents
us with every moment of our time on earth.
We have an energy field around us that is how our spirit, or
greater self, communicates with us, this can be read with
kinesiological muscle testing, aura reading, kirilian
photography as well as the many energy therapies and
esoteric methods, including numerology and tarot.
Our suggestion is to play with whatever comes up and keep
track of what happens on the journey...

How these cards were created:
We started with a simple tarot Reading that my mother,
Mireille gave to my friends Udi and Carmen at the Nagai
Saturday Bazaar. They were so astounded at the accuracy of
her words that they began to inquire more about them. As
they were new to Ibiza, we also began to explain a bit about
the Island. Jokingly, we mentioned that it would be cool to
have Tarot cards that also taught a bit about the island...The
next thing we knew, we were well on our way!
We had all the ingredients, we just had to put them together!
Mireille, the Astrologer and Tarot card Reader, Udi and
Carmen, the designer and pro-active force, myself and
Eleonora with the Ibiza, Numerological and Bach Flower
knowledge as well as words and boundless enthusiasm and
then we had an inspiringh with our friend Zinnia who
channeled the Goddess Messages and directed her vibrant
Goddess energy into the making of these cards!
Goddess Power
There exist many designs for Tarot cards, we have chosen
designs inspired by the Goddesses of the World.
Each message was Channeled by our favourite Shakti
Priestess and bring messages of hope, love and female
empowerment. This is important for both Women and Men
as we strive to balance the forces of nature within ourselves.
These cards give insights into what Goddess Power you can
access at this time.
You have your own deities on your side and can call on
them whenever the Yang energy seems to be confusing the
clarity and flow of love in your life.
Goddess Origins
We have heard the names of many of the Goddesses many
times in our life, in school, on travels, and in mythology,
however, as we delved into the Origins, we became much
more aware of how many of our daily troubles and issues
were already happening all over the world in every culture
since the beginning of time!
We hope that you will share our enthusiasm with these
fascinating insights into humanity viewed through the eyes
of our favourite Goddesses!
Obviously, there are many more Goddesses and we are
considering making a second deck or even a more complete
(78, full Tarot deck), in the future.

Tarot
Tarot cards have been used to gain insight into life's
mysteries for centuries, a more sophisticated version of all
kinds of soothsayers divination tools since the beginning of
time. The first decks appeared in Northern Italy in the
middle of the 15th century and became very popular and
with refined reading guides by the 17th century, particularly
in France.
Remember we live in duality, daylight-nightlight, actionreaction
so that each card has a positive and a negative
meaning, depending also on what surrounds it, and whether
the cards appear straight up or reversed.
Each card can be seen as a psychological information, with a
spiritual meaning reaching from the highest state: the ideal,
to the most obvious, material manifestation in our daily
lives.

Fire
Corresponds to Spring, is represented by Wands.
Symbolizes: Action, energy, enterprise, ambition, dynamic
activity.
Water
Corresponds to Summer, is represented by Cups.
Symbolizes: Emotions, quality of Love and care. Spiritual
and imaginative realms.
The Arts and education, friendship, family, pleasure.
Air
Corresponds to Winter, is represented by Swords.
Symbolizes: The Mind, communication, laws, ideas,
problems and solutions, strategies.
Earth
Corresponds to Autumn, is represented by Coins.
Symbolizes: the Body, the material plane, practical
concerns, physical health, the results of hard work. Builders,
bankers, farmers, craftsmen. What takes Time to achieve.
The Court Cards
Representing four different types of people, in four different
levels of growth.They also describe psychological attitudes
as well as type of situations.
Sixteen cards, Four per suit: the Page, the Knight, the
Queen, the King.
The Pages represent children and beginnings.
Page of Wands: Wands are Dynamic Fire.
Represents a child or a youth, of fun and outgoing nature. A
messenger.
Page of Cups: Cups are Emotional Water.
A gentle child, imaginative caring or with an artistic
temperament. The beginning of romance.
Page of Swords: Swords are Mental Air.
Preoccupations. Clever and serious youth, or one with
difficulties.
Page of Coins: Coins are Practical Earth.
A serious child, learns by doing, studious and cautious.
The Knights represent young people, show movement.
Knight of Wands:
Self confidence, Passion and Romance. Travels in relation
to business or entertainment.
Knight of Cups:
A lover. One involved with Art or Education, a social
worker.
The Knight of swords:
An intelligent and ambitious man, analytical and cool
headed.
Knight of Coins:
A sensible, dependable type. A health worker, trainer. A
manager.
The Queens represent mature women. Powerful, who can be
of help.
Queen of Wands:
Passionate, independent, likes to be in charge of financial
and other projects.
Queen of Cups:
An attractive woman. Empathy, Artistic, imaginative,
Family orientated, gentle.
The Queen of Swords:
Use of mind rather than emotions. Intelligent and analytical.
Queen of Coins:
Financially secure, practical, conscientious. A capable
business woman. A land owner.
The Kings are important or mature men. Authority.
Responsible for others.
King of Wands:
An entrepreneur, a businessman. An inspiring leader.
The King of Cups:
A Father. A family man. A religious figure or an artist, a
counselor.
The King of Swords:
An intelligent, perceptive man, someone with the power to
fight on your behalf. Lawyers.
The King of Coins:
A good money manager. Responsible for other people.
Cautious, practical.
Numerology
We have also used Numerological meanings in the cards and
use them during a Reading as an added personalisation. By
having the person write down their birthdate and name, as
well as their Question, the amount of information and the
awareness about themselves and their current situation
increases greatly. It is very powerful to see personal
information written down in connection with a question that
is actual.
Numerology has been used since the beginning of time and
is present in almost all methods of divination in one way or
another. We have used a simplified version, connected with
the Tarot and the Kabbalah.
Bach Flower Remedies
Bach Flower Remedies are very subtle yet powerful drops of
magic that work on the Emotional body. This has an instant
effect on all of our psychosomatic expressions of dis-ease.
Each of the 38 flowers has a specific emotional
correspondence as well as different body parts that they help
cure. The correspondences with the Tarot we found to be
astonishingly precise and they have been the reason we
chose to have 39 cards in the deck (the 39th flower is
actually a combination of five, the Rescue Remedy for
emergencies).
Sacred Geometry
To add an energetic symbolism to the cards, we have added
some sacred geometry imagery to each card to show a
contact with nature and all things past as well as reference
the magic of life. The forms found in sacred geometry are
found in nature and all things follow these mathematical
patterns.
Energizing a new deck of cards
The cards can be treated as a toy or can be infused with the
Energy of Tanit and used for Divination.
We have made them with focused energy and have received
feedback from many people, experienced Tarot Readers and
non-experienced explorers and they have all expressed awe
at the accuracy of the cards.
Simply handle them with respect and wrap the packet in silk
or any natural fiber or place in a wooden box.
The best way to energize a new pack of cards is to spread
them face upward on a special cloth (one you will keep
using for your spreads), borrow an old pack of well used
cards from a trusted friend and lay each card face
downwards on its companion in the new deck.
Ask for a blessing for the cards so they will bring healing
and Peace to all those who ask for their help and protection,
I use a small bell and let it ring over the cards by shaking
my hand from right to left.
Keep them safely wrapped and do not let others
use them unless it is for the purpose of a reading, best is
if you handle them so they are used to your vibrations.
Shuffling and dealing the cards
Mix them well and put them back into a pile. You can let
‘the client’ cut the pack with his left hand in three piles,
from right to left and choose a pile, or spread them all face
down in a fan shape and ask the person to select a number of
cards and then turn them face up in the position the lay out
requires.
Doing a reading
The card lay-out can show us that if we let things run their
course such and such ‘might’ happen. Some events are
beyond our control but our attitude can make them a more
positive experience.
The cards can show us the best way to handle a situation,
offering a better option or they can just act upon our
intuition when confronted later in our daily life with a
decision or a choice to make, somewhat akin to suddenly
getting a clue from a dream and pausing before making a
decision.
Most importantly:
Respect your cards and be in a balanced state.
To begin a reading:
Invoke protection and Visualize opening your ‘channels’
(top of the head or third eye ), protect yourself and client
with the image of a circle of light and ask for a blessing in
any way that feels right, this is up to you but a certain ritual
and invocation is necessary.
Do not keep pulling the cards to get an answer you would
like to see for yourself or under pressure from friends or
clients.
I like to do a reading for one person at a time or it becomes
confusing (the cards picking up too many clues from two or
more people.)
To learn about the card’s meaning, pull one card a day in the
morning and meditate a few seconds on its meaning then
review what happened to you at the end of the day.
If you don’t understand the meaning of what you pulled, you
can ask, “on what level is this happening or why did I pull
this?”
Then pull another one or two to help you understand it
better.
There are many excellent books written on the subject feel
free to study them.
I am offering only a simplified series of keywords after
years of experiencing them that way... it is a very personal
experience and some cards mean slightly different things to
other Tarot readers... you need to experiment and see what
works for you, for example if a certain card always shows
up as a successful outcome and another always seem to
mean trouble you, be sure it will work that way and it
usually does.
I hope this compilation of a few key words for each card
will help in guiding you in developing your intuitive skills
as you interpret a card lay out in answer to a question.
Reversed cards
If most cards in a spread turn out reversed better wait and
prepare as it won’t manifest, or you are just ‘thinking’ about
possibilities.
It is very important to look at what surrounds a card by
understanding the full meaning of each card ex: the Wheel
of fortune, if surrounded badly could mean a “Change
“might be the opposite of what one expected.
We have added the interpretation of reversed cards, not
everyone does, however, we feel that it helps to know the
other extreme of the continuum.
Please experiment and choose what you find most helpful.
For those who want to use them the meaning can vary from
something :
A) not happening …
B) or delayed...try again later.
C) not valid, try another tactic or something else
might be better.
D) something hidden on purpose
E) need to bolster your confidence and think more
positively.
Please remember:
The Connection is established when you are relaxed,
centered, hydrated and emotionally balanced!
Sometimes it is just not the right moment to ask the Tarot
cards to speak: either you are having an ‘off day’ or the
person you are doing it for is, or has to let go of some fear or
emotion which is blocking the reading and you need to
reshuffle and wait till the issue is verbally expressed before
laying out the cards again.
Simple lay outs or spreads:
Pick one card for one question or just to see what
the day has in store.
Pick One card with your Left hand for Yin,
internal, emotional insights and one
with your Right hand for Yang,
external, action instructions.
Pick three cards:
One for the PAST place it to the left,
One for the PRESENT place it in the center,
One for the FUTURE, place to the right.
This simple spread will show you the influences on the
present and possible future.
If a question is based on a choice then pull three more cards
in the same sequence: of past, present, and future, to see
what alternative is offered.
Most Tarot books show a wide range of spreads please try
the ones you like until you feel confident using them.
Bringing it all together,
Your First Reading!
When Letters, Numbers, the Stars and the Spirit of the
Goddesses gather to help us on our journey in Life.
Step 1: Relax
When you are relaxed and your mind is quiet, the soft voice
of your intuition can be heard. Make yourself comfortable
and begin by taking slow, deep breaths in through the nose
and out through the nose or mouth. Visualize exhaling
everything that’s on your mind – you can come back to your
worries later – but for now, let your mind become clear and
empty.
Relax your body by breathing into any areas of tension or
discomfort and exhaling the tension until your body feels
warm and calm.
Step 2: Clear your Tarot Deck
Since your deck will have absorbed the energies of your last
reading or of the last person who touched it, it is important
to clear your deck of any residual energies. The best way to
do this, in my opinion, is by shuffling.
After you shuffle your deck a few times, hold it in your
hands and give it a “light bath” – visualize breathing in a
beautiful white light and sending that light down your arms
and into your tarot deck so that it is bathed in white light.
This not only clears your deck, but it helps you connect
more strongly to your Tarot cards.
Step 3: Ask Your Question!
As you hold your deck, ask your question silently in your
mind or out loud. If you don’t have a specific question, you
may simply ask your Tarot cards “what do I need to know
right now?” or “What messages do you have for me today?”
Let your question settle into the deck. Imagine that your
question is traveling from your mind, down your arms and
into your Tarot cards.
Step 4: Cut the Deck
Place your Tarot deck on the table in front of you and using
your left hand, cut the deck in half and place the top half on
the left. You should have two piles of cards now. Choose the
card that is on the top of the right pile and turn it over.
Steps 5-10: The Reading
First Impression – Notice what your first thought, feeling
or reaction was when you turned the card over. Often, our
first impression is loaded with intuitive insight because our
egos/minds haven’t had a chance to jump in yet.
Body Messages – Your intuition will often communicate
with you through physical feelings, like a tight stomach or
tingly feeling in your hands. Notice if you get any physical
sensations as you look at your Tarot card.
Say the card’s name out loud – doing this can sometimes
open pathways in the mind, giving you access to new
insights and information. Notice how you feel when you
speak the cards name out loud.
Color – Notice the colors in your Tarot card. Is there a mix
of color, absence of color or mostly one color? If one color
is more dominant than the others, what does that color mean
to you?
Action! – What is going on in this Tarot card? Are people
communicating or struggling? Is there a lot of movement or
stillness? This one factor can often indicate the issue you are
dealing with and its solutions.
Characters – Notice which figures, whether human or
animal, are present in your Tarot card. What message does
this character(s) bring to you? Imagine yourself stepping
into the Tarot card and having a conversation with this
character. What would they say?
Symbols – What symbols stand out to you? What do those
symbols mean to you? Tarot cards communicate to us
through symbols and many “hidden meanings” can be
discovered when we take the time to meditate on the
symbols.
Step 11: Closing the Tarot Reading
When you feel it is time to end the Tarot reading, hold your
deck in your hands and silently thank it for all the insights
and guidance it has brought to you today. You may want to
enjoy a brief moment of silence just to let the reading settle
in.
Reshuffle your Tarot deck and return it to its resting place.
The Cards!
1. Isis - She is everything, the mistress of magic. Her magic
is the most ancient. Allow her to guide you to intuition and
the mysteries.
Origins - Egyptian Aset or Eset. One of the most important
goddesses of ancient Egypt. Her name is the Greek form of
an ancient Egyptian word for “throne.” Isis was one of the
most important deities of ancient Egypt. Her cult
subsequently spread throughout the Roman Empire, and Isis
was worshipped from England to Afghanistan. She is still
revered by pagans today. As mourner, she was a principal
deity in rites connected with the dead.
The Magician - Alchemy, where ideas and action come
together. Communication with Awareness creates new ideas
and actions. Confidence.
Mercury - Your perceptive filter. The unique way
impressions are absorbed, and what your mind alights on. A
messenger between the soul and the material world.
Cherry Plum - Let Go of Fear and Regain Control of
Thoughts
Keywords and Oracle - Number one. An Idealized person,
a magical one. An Artist, a scientist. Having the means to
succeed. Able to start on your own. Be confident, you have
what it takes to succeed.
When reversed or in a spread with negative cards: Lacking
confidence, someone bluffing, a con man, a charlatan, an
iffy deal.
Example: If it is straight up and surrounded by a positive
court card: Someone who can do the job or just a phone call
with good news (if asking about getting one).
This card is a card of power and magic. It means that
you have the power or to be careful about someone with
power or magic.
2. Persephone - Queen of the Underworld and Seeker of
hidden secrets. She will bring to light the unhealed and
wounded parts of yourself.
Origins - In Greek mythology she is the daughter of Zeus
and the harvest goddess Demeter. Persephone was abducted
by Hades, the god-king of the underworld. Homer describes
her as the formidable, venerable majestic princess of the
underworld, who carries into effect the curses of men upon
the souls of the dead. Goddess of the Underworld,
springtime, flowers, and vegetation.
The High Priestess - Mind and heart in harmony with
intuition. Trust your Heart and all will be good.
Moon - The instinctive emotional self that is the base of a
person's being. The soul's legacy of home and Mother and
the desire to create that safe place in the world. The energy
that self-soothes.
Water Violet - Communication and Sharing
Keywords and Oracle - Number two. An idealized woman,
a teacher. Open minded, receptive to inner guidance…
intuitive spiritually aware. Good advice.
As a situation, needing a period of quiet , find peace, make
space, preparation, research...not knowing yet, need to wait
or enquire further into the matter. Follow your instincts,
intuition rather than logic.
When reversed or in a spread with negative cards: Being
prejudiced, closed off, inhibited or over-idealizing,
something not ready yet. Feeling out of control, hysterical,
shy, unrealistic or just dreaming.
This card is the feminine energy pointing to intuition and
receptivity. It is telling you to listen and learn.
3. Tanit - Mediterranean goddess who offers abundance,
creativity, sexuality, fertility and fullness of life. Expect
abundance.
Origins - Phoenician warrior goddess of dance, fertility,
creation and rebirth. She's the protector goddess of Ibiza.
The name appears to have originated in Carthage (modern
day Tunisia). She was equivalent to the moon-goddess
Astarte. Tanit is also called Tinnit, Tannou or Tangou. Her
image, resembling the Medusa is seen all over the island.
One of her ancient sanctuaries is in the high hills of the
north of Ibiza. Many people make the short pilgrimage to
her cave to ask for blessings and to say thank you after a
good harvest.
The Empress - Through bursts of creative energy you fulfill
your potential. Artistic inspiration and perseverance.
Creativity.
Venus - How you find beauty in life and share it with others.
What kind of art, music and creative self-expression is
nourishing to your soul.
Willow - Maturity and Natural Balance
Keywords and Oracle - Number three. Creativity,
solutions. Fertility of Nature, of mind or Body. Good news,
flow, relief, new home…More space or in Nature.
Pregnancy, motherhood, Family. Important female figure,
the Boss. Places or people dealing with care and
nourishment…where people gather and connect
( restaurants, entertainment clubs etc)
When reversed or in a spread with negative cards: Blocked
expression of the above. Difficulty with mothers or
mothering children or ideas etc… Can mean writer’s block
if the question has to do with that.
Tip: Ask what one needs to help a better flow, what is
blocking the situation. Pulling another card might be helpful
to gain insight into what is needed to unblock the situation.
This Card is telling us that it is time to be creative and
share your message, skills and talents. A time of giving
birth!
4. Athena - Truth, wisdom, strategy and intuition. Trust
yourself and focus.
Origins - Athena is the nymph goddess of wisdom, military
victory and patron of Athens. She was Hercule's half-sister
and her parents were Zeus and Metis. In ancient Greek
religion and mythology she is the goddess of wisdom,
courage, inspiration, law and justice, mathematics, olive
cultivation, strength, war, strategy, the arts, crafts and skill.
The Emperor - Decisive rationality will take you all the
way. Your inner strength enables you to lead through action.
Organization.
Aries - Expression of your inner nature; activity that is selfmotivated,
unaffected by others; birth; enthusiasm and
vitality.
Vine - Leadership by Consent, Not Fear

constructive and/or destructive, sometimes resulting in

Conclusion
Remember that all readings are subjective and this is
twofold.
First of all you have your own prejudices and level of
awareness, your instinctive response to a client, and
secondly you have the questioner’s perceptions and point of
view to cope with.
All of this should be taken into account.
Counseling skills are needed especially if a series of difficult
cards appear or if your client is very agitated.
I tend to minimize the difficulties as nothing shown might
happen but something has to be expressed to clear the knot
either by getting them to talk about it and releasing it and
reshuffling the cards when less tension is present, usually
after sharing a laugh about something irritating which has
occurred in one’s life.
Humour is a great healer. Acceptance is part of life. If
someone has died or one has retired from a cherished work
glossing over it with pep talk won’t work…Life has both its
share of Joy and miraculous recoveries …and its sorrows.
It is only by acknowledging both with acceptance and
dignity that we can clear the decks with a fuller
consciousness.
We are more than flesh and blood our Spirit moves on when
the time is right, to fresh perceptions and new adventures.
A reading should be empowering the person to move on.
I usually Affirm out loud that their intuition will choose the
right way even if not apparent at the time of the reading
